everybody was well dressed, and everybody was a mess.

5x perfect - 9/2010

He makes you feel like a better person, makes you strive to do well, to excel.

He knows how to treat and handle you. He's gentle when needed and has the right amount of 'fuck shit up' to keep you satisfied. He's a courteous and honorable man, he talks business with your dad and makes your mom laugh.

He can always make you feel like less of a rotten apple core, driving to your house all the way across town just for a goodnight kiss or by painting your toes when you're sick or just by simply using your name when he talks to you.

You share an unspoken untouchable bond, when people are around you they can feel your vibes. The energy is right. You're on the same wave.

You don't get sick or old of each other. He always says, I love you. Your friends like and approve of him and likewise. He feels like home because he is your home, your safe place, its right.

Tea Time

When its dark outside and the clouds are thick, the streets are empty and the plants are drowning with rain. We need something to wake us up and remind us that summer will come and the seasons will change. So I made chocolate biscotti, drank lots of coffee, read my RealSimple and looked out the window..

CHOCOLATE ALMOND BISCOTTI

What you'll need:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cups suggie
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup blanched slivered almonds
1 to 2 teaspoons water

350 degree oven

Grab a big bowl combine all the ingredients except the almonds and water
Mix well with a spoon or hands add almonds last, dough will be thick and a bit sticky add water to combine if necessary
Form dough into log about 3/4 inch thick and place the on a greased cookie sheet
Bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and reduce the temperature to 325 degrees
Allow to cool to the touch, then cut into 1/2 inch thick slices.
Lay the slices cut side down on the cookie sheets and bake an additional 15 minutes
Turn the cookies over and bake another 15 minutes or until very crisp.
Allow to cool, then store in an airtight container, they'll stay good for several weeks

Now serve these at your next tea party, enjoy!

primp 101

If your ever feeling dull and blah try a quick beauty scrubs to freshen up. I usually do each a couple times a month to stay super cozy on the outside. HEY you can also always add a little citrus zest to either recipe to energize your bag of bones!

The Recipe to Silky Sexy Smoochers

What you will need

  • One teaspoon Brown Sugar
  • One teaspoon Honey
  • One teaspoon Olive Oil or Petroleum Jelly

Instructions

Mix brown sugar and honey together to make a paste. Schmear it on your lips and let it set for a few minutes then start gently scrubbing with your finger until all the sickness has been rubbed off. Right after quickly get some olive oil or lip balm on to moisturize those kissers!

The Recipe to Smooth Softest Skin

What you will need

  • One Cup Sea Salt or SuggieSugar
  • One Cup Coconut Butter or Any Bath Oil

Instructions

Mix the two together then pat on your bod and gently scrub in circular motion all over, I usually do it in the tub. Rinse and repeat every week or so when your skin is feeling dead tried.

tearfully delectable

Banana Blueburry Bread, made with love and care.
I had a few lazy bananas laying around but not enough to make topical b-bread so I decided to twist it and add a bit of blueberries, nom.

Recipe:
2 smashed brown spotty bananas (i only like to eat them when they're green)
1/3 cup soft butter
1 cup suggiesugz
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
bit of salt
1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup blueberries
zest of one lemon

mix all the wet ingredients, slowly add in sifted dry ingredients, finally fold in blueberries and lemon zest because they are best friends.

350 degree oven for 1 hour

So good you want to squirrel it away under your pillow for later.

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, shortening, milk and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Mix at low speed for 2 minutes. Scrape bowl. Add egg whites and mix at high speed until fluffy and smooth, approximately 2 minutes.

Fill liners 2/3 full

Bake 23 minutes

Cool, make sure they’re totally cooled before frosting

Frosting recipe

· 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature

· 4 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted

· 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
